NLP475 - Clayhall Road site.
This site has been highlighted by consultation of residents, as part of a Neighbourhood Plan, as a site for housing and possibly a new School. The current School has been designated as a Primary School which was formerly a Lower School, and needs to provide more classrooms for the extra two school years.

NLP467 - Clayhall Road - Allotments.
Part of this area has been designated as suitable for low cost housing in consultation with residents as part of the Neighbourhood Plan. It would include redeveloping the remaining allotments with better facilities.

NLP476 Kensworth Primary School
This area has been designated as ideal for a development of social housing following consultation of residents for the Neighbourhood Plan. The existing school is too small for the new Primary School status, requiring two extra classrooms. The school consists of two buildings, the original Victorian School building and the 1960s building. If the school was moved to the new site in Clayhall Road the 1960s building could be replaced with community housing for elderly or disabled residents and the old Victorian building could be utilised as a community building offering medical services for residents.

NLP022 - Rear of Russell Close and Plewes Close
This site would be suitable for mixed low cost housing as it adjoins Russell Close and Plewes Close where access roads are already in place. The public consultation for the Neighbourhood Plan agreed that more low cost housing was needed in Kensworth, for young families, to ensure the future viability of the school and to rebalance the current ageing population.

I have attached a completed Call for Sites pro forma for the above site. Although the
submission of new sites was not specifically invited at this stage of the Local Plan, the brownfield nature of the site means it falls to be considered under the Brownfield Register.
The site previously contained a number of large commercial buildings used in connection with the owner's business (fruit juice production). However, the majority of these building were lost in a fire several years ago and have not been replaced.
