The personal data that you provide will be used to enable Bedford Borough, Central Bedfordshire and Luton Borough Councils to identify who has responded to consultation on the Bedfordshire Minerals and Waste Plan and to enable the councils to notify you regarding the next stages of the plan. The legal basis for this processing is through the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 and the Town and Country Planning (Local Planning) (England) Regulations 2026.

Where you make a representation, we will publish your name and comments.  Your contact details (postal address, email address and telephone number) will not be published. 

Your contact details will be shared with Bedford Borough, Central Bedfordshire and Luton Borough Councils to ensure that their databases are kept up-to-date to maintain contact with you in the future. Your contact details will also be shared with the Planning Inspectorate to enable them to manage the formal examination of the plan.

You are entitled to withdraw your representation up until the point that the consultation event closes.

Your personal data will be managed in accordance with the data protection and records management policies in place at Bedford Borough, Central Bedfordshire and Luton Borough Councils.

For the purposes of the Bedfordshire Minerals and Waste Plan, any data protection concerns should be directed in the first instance to the information governance team at Central Bedfordshire Council, which is managing this consultation on behalf of the three Bedfordshire authorities.
