I feel that some consultations with for example students, community groups and ethnic minorities which break down the considerations under no more than twelve headings may produce some interesting results. Different ages, cultures and backgrounds all of whom have contributed to the way the county is today need to be included.
Personally I feel provision for household pets should be included in the design as these have always been an important part of my life in the county. For many their household pet is as important, if not more important than the human relationships in their household.

Play streets are a great idea and I am glad to see there is provision for electric vehicles. I am satisfied that security is taken into account with the provision of cul de sacs whcih do make streets more quiet and secure.
I feel there should be a range of dimensions of houses to cater for the range in dimensions of people and at least some houses need disabled access (but I don't think all.)

Great to see so much provision for pedestrians and cyclists. However I think there should be provision for varied landscaping to create a range of environments and make journeys a little more interesting.
In Leighton-Linslade we now have some bike repair stations at some locations which I think is a good idea.

I welcome the plans to incorporate care and maintenance of landscapes. I feel there should also be wildlife care schemes included, probably with the support of wildlife trusts.
I feel special consideration should be given to dog walkers. In Leighton Linslade we have provision of dog poo bins in places where people frequently walk their dogs.
I think all farms and fields should have a "guardian" not directly involved with the care of the field who handles concerns observations and complaints from members of the public and contact details should be on gates.

Great to see provision for gypsy sites but these need dedicated staff to maintain them and check that rubbish is disposed of and any welfare concerns are addressed. I think that all public building should have provision for artwork to supplement the built environment as this can make a huge difference to the identification of the building, it's purpose and the people who use it.

I am concerned that buildings should be a "blank canvas" for people to develop what suits their priorities from a home. I think artists, commercial diy stores can really help. Again I feel provision for household pets should be considered and this is frequently left out of plans. I think there should be some use of relclaimed materials to give modern houses a link with the past particularly where buildings have been demolished. I think some landmark homes are also a good idea.

Great to see so much consideration given to the quality of materials but I think there could be more use of recycled materials.

Good to use case studies to illustrate different points. My own feeling of modern buildings is that they seem to be high quality and energy efficient but sometimes lacking in character, space and good ventilation.
